‘tear me down’ EP out now!

  • by

Long time, no write, I know. That’s changing. I’ve got some fun things to share.

silver walks – ‘tear me down’ EP artwork, by the handsome and bedreadlocked Steven Archer.

The first single from our debut LP is called ‘tear me down’, and features the sultry vocals of Coral Scere alongside a slow-burn beat. It was released April 8th, 2022 on all major platforms. We like BandCamp, ourselves. It was mixed by the esteemed John Fryer of NIN, 4AD, Depeche Mode and Nitzer Ebb fame. It also features mixes by Assemblage 23, The Russian White, Glass Apple Bonzai and our own Tim Heireth. I hope you like it, we certainly do.

Now that I’ve got a minute (and have finished relocating to NYC), expect the site to grow tremendously over the next couple of days. We’ve got shows in June, an EP at the end of the month, and the actual record in June as well! Stay safe out there, kids…

So we had a beautiful, content-rich site that we’d customized and got Just Right(tm). Naturally, it bit the dust, as the theme-maker moved on to greener pastures, and left it to die. So, we talked to a friend who was good with these sort of things, in preparation for the release of the record. We’d anticipated having it done by Cold Waves 2021, so that I could spend my time doing more appropriate things, like Finishing The Damn Record Already. Alas and alack, they got the ‘VID, amongst other tragedies, so we haven’t sent the Fun Police to beat them about the head and shoulders with a sock full of quarters. It was therefore left up to Daniel, who forgives them.

Groovy and Smoove B, though. They’re a different story. [glares in cat]

Therefore it’s with great neutrality and beige greetings that I welcome you to the almost content-free Silver Walks site, thoroughly plain in its generic-ness. It’ll grow up. One foot in front of the other, just walk on in.

Various Positions is next to complete. I’ve been working with the lovely John Fryer (he of Depeche Mode, NIN, Nitzer Ebb and 4AD fame), who has quite patiently put up with my COVID blues as I assembled the record.

It rocks, I promise. It’ll be out in spring 2022, featuring a whole host of collaborators.

This site will grow up in public, much like the Olsen Twins, but I doubt I’ll get half as rich.

Ever forward.
